That's all that is in the file..That's my game ID's that i have currently installed, the ones that appear on my XMB, but not all of the ones that load from backup manager. Maybe there's a way to make installs in the backup manager appear on the XMB? PATCH.DAT, which is also in that folder, shows each ones version. I'm not..POSITIVE, but im about to try, to see if i can bypass updates using it.
Nope, changed Pain's version from 1.0 to 6.1 and it still prompts for update. lol. After checking the path.dat file (after reboot), it got written over with the old version number.
I've spent the past few hours digging through files on the PS3. Someone check this out, go download and install the pixlejunk racers debug and pain debug. First, the pixlejunk racers, all of those files, you can freely add/edit/delete code. None of it is encrypted or compiled, its all there in plain sight.
Second, you can edit pain files as well then run them. I changed the tutorial text, then rant eh game and it worked freely. This makes me wonder if you can run any exploits through the game via this method as well lol.
