How does the transfer speed compare for those with full 300 Mbps wifi? I know it's not as speedy as 1 gbit, but wireless sometimes is more convenient without having to run 100' cat5 from upstairs to downstairs (I know, my house has a weird setup).
Great work on the FTP, i was wondering if you are still working on it?
Support to copy from the HD -> USB or vise versa would be AMAZING. Writing USB->HD would be 1800x faster than my router.
So how can i get online with the ps3 to transfer stuff but not be on the psn? i read all 27 pages no one has brought it up. I want to wirelessly send files to the ps3.

This interests me: /dev_hdd0/vsh/pushlist/game.dat
That's all that is in the file..That's my game ID's that i have currently installed, the ones that appear on my XMB, but not all of the ones that load from backup manager. Maybe there's a way to make installs in the backup manager appear on the XMB? PATCH.DAT, which is also in that folder, shows each ones version. I'm not..POSITIVE, but im about to try, to see if i can bypass updates using it.Code:FTPD12345.BLES00887.LAUN12345.BCES00220.NPEA00054.NPEA00053.BCUS98167.
Nope, changed Pain's version from 1.0 to 6.1 and it still prompts for update. lol. After checking the path.dat file (after reboot), it got written over with the old version number.
I've spent the past few hours digging through files on the PS3. Someone check this out, go download and install the pixlejunk racers debug and pain debug. First, the pixlejunk racers, all of those files, you can freely add/edit/delete code. None of it is encrypted or compiled, its all there in plain sight.
Second, you can edit pain files as well then run them. I changed the tutorial text, then rant eh game and it worked freely. This makes me wonder if you can run any exploits through the game via this method as well lol.

In my case I plug my PS3 to my PC's Lan 1 cable. So in the instructions when you say
"Make you PC static IP 10.1.1.1, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.1.1.0, dns 10.1.1.0"
Does this mean I go to my (Windows 7)
- Network And Sharing
- Change Adapter Settings
- Right Click Local Area Connection 1 and Select Properties
- Double Click On "Internet Protocol Version 4
- And Set IP 10.1.1.1, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.1.1.0, dns 10.1.1.0"
And For The PS3
- Go To Network Settings
- Chose Manual and Wired
- And enter these settings P 10.1.1.2, same subnet, gateway, and dns as the PC.
- enable UPnP
I would just like know if this is correct so we can get a PS3 FTP PC TO PS3 STRAIGHT LAN CONNECTION GUIDE
Ok I almost got it working but this is what I get now:

@Darkzero51521: Try to change the app version in the .sfo file from the game folder. Use sfoedit or something similar.
