Following up on IrisManager v1.38 and their Install Fake BDEmu PKG PS3 DEX CFW Dummy BDEmu Guide, Italian PlayStation 3 developer Rancid (o) has made available Iris Manager v1.40 which now supports the PS3ITA CFW 4.21 DEX and Rebug PS3 CFW in DEX mode.

To quote, roughly translated: For the uninitiated manager Iris is the only backup manager tool developed with legal (see PSL1GHT). unlike Multiman does not care much for frills, simply does its job well, it starts back up.

Has minimal graphics but its has the speed (do not get lost among a thousand options). It occupies very little space hd (1MB), so you can save valuable space (a popular backup manager uses space as a cache delll'hd and more space to store the cover, but do not believe it makes you burn more than 1GB ..

Another point in favor of this manager is that it is completely open source (Multiman NO!), Anyone can update with new features and adapt to a given cfw. Before today the manager only supported the CFW CEX 3.55, 4.21 and 4.30, but no CFW DEX..

So we decided to make it compatible with our CFW PS3ITA 4.21 DEX. In the future we will to the Italian translation of the manager and who knows maybe even adding some nice feature exclusive..

Ah, the manager is also compatible with CFW 4.21 Rebug mode and CEX and DEX.

v1.40 Changelog:

v1.45 Changelog (Roughly translated via ps3ita.it/homebrew/iris-manager-v1-40-supporta-anche-il-cfw-ps3ita-4-21-dex/): The previous version of Iris Manager (1.40) and the recently released (1.45) have a bug that makes the most of the games hang Loading on cfw 4.21 dex. All this because of our small mistake in bringing the payload to cfw 4.21 dex. (Sorry for that)

Finally, in related news from KDSBest on PS3 Debug Games: Hi, the following is possible on a REX 4.21.

You first has to swap your kernel to dex, which may get you the error on trophy register error on some games. (REX has to fix this).

1. Decrypt the EBOOT.BIN
2. Use make_fself to create an SELF file
3. Replace your EBOOT.BIN with your EBOOT.SELF (It has to be renamed to EBOOT.BIN).
4. Boot up the game with multiman
5. Use the TM/Debugger of your choice.

Simple as that.

PS: If ps3usercheat in db just changes eboot stuff you can decrypt eboot. apply patch. reencrypt done!

You should be able to apply the ps3usercheat stuff in there on your own now.

Nice that its working on 4.21REX, BAD that it doesn't read USB drives. It only sees the games on the internal HDD.

Is there a way to change to USB drive that I'm missing? I can only see games in my internal drive but the USB drive is blinking and doesn't stop. So far is a LOT faster than MultiMan which I like. Just wish there was a way to put more games on the screen at the same time. 4x3 is ok, but 8x4 is better.

So its happy to use GAMES for the internal HDD but not the USB HDD. I hope thats just a bug and they will fix it in the next release.

It does exactly what I want it to do. It loads games and its got FTP support. No need for the bloatware of MM anymore. MM has become buggy and sluggish so I'm glad there is something better now. Its faster then MM, it looks better than MM and it works.

I dont care for multiple looks or pages like MM and if I want to watch a movie or see a photo thats already part of the PS3 or I use the stand alone Showtime so absolutely no need for MultiMan anymore.

hello since I've installed this iris manager for cfw 4.21 Ita DEX and most of my games to run the screen freezes and I have to restart the ps3, does anyone but this happens? What I can do? I'm interested in the manager at big split 4gb files

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum, So first my regards to all of you. Now to my point, I have a slim 120gb on rogero 4.30. I download games, two of my games are not working properly

1. Kingdom of Amalur- It loads the game and does show the videos up till the part where it starts to go to the main menu. before loading the main menu it goes black and a white circle in the middle of the screen spins showing that its loading. However, it never loads and stays in that state. This is my second download the other one did the same thing although they are different torrents (not the same game torrent).

2. RE6- Now this is a bit different, it starts the game but only loads the second part of the game where Leon and the girl are fallen on the ground and the helli is firing at them. I tried and found a different torrent for this one as well but the second one did the same.

Now please if anyone knows how to fix this, then please share your knowledge with me.

If this is not the right place to post this problem in, this accept my apology for my mistake.
