If that were the case, why did the size of the flash change on the newer consoles? If what you believe is true, moving the dev_flash to HDD would only have eliminated the CXD4302GB chip, not shrunk the size of the "other" flash.
Easy,old time dev_flash work into nandflash for it infectus put make downgrader,but sony at 2.10 move the raw fw to the cxd and later to the hdd(80),for it now dont run infectus.
u only need see a dump nandflash for see and find only data core_os,nothing more.
And cxd store dev_flash(linux flag,resources,index.dat,emulators)and cxr(syscon)store the flash2 for recovery and data user.
Taking into consideration the fact you cant boot from NAND, and the information released by CJPC a long while back about the PS3 boot sequence, where is the initial bootloader actually stored? That is to say, where is the program which tells the SCC to grab asecure_loader and send it to the SPU vault to run?

and not have any files from dev_flashes, in the last time possibly are changed the content on the cxd are the loaders, and on the samsungs are the dev_flash, but that change... and for that reason now not can downgrade...

If i have understood right then this mean we couldn't downgrade our retail ps3īs any more because we haved flashed the wrong place since sony hase swapped the files of cxd and samsung chip with each other. And this then would also mean if we are able to dump and flash the cxd we could gain back the ability of downgrading retail ps3īs up to fw 3.41?
