    cp /proc/metldrpwn/dump /home/ps3/Desktop/dump

This is the first part of the "dump" file:
    Code:
    93 D8 D0 88 74 46 C1 F2 00 17 00 2C 9F 8B 12 4A
    93 D8 D0 88 74 46 C1 F2 00 17 00 2C 9F 8B 12 4A
    93 D8 D0 88 74 46 C1 F2 00 17 00 2C 9F 8B 12 4A
    5C CE 07 37 D7 6A E9 9F 7A E6 F3 EF 59 7D 0E 82
    7D 62 3A 4D 5A C4 15 B6 A7 E5 AD 63 FF 7E E8 99
    32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80
    32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80
    32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80
    32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80 32 7F FF 80
The first 3 lines are the same.. What's wrong?

Not the right kernel/kernel not patched or you did something wrong with the files needed for the "dump"

  4. #74
I've got the linux-2.6 kernel from gitbrew, how to know if my kernel is patched? Thanks.

    I found this: http://gitbrew.org/~glevand/ps3/linux/linux-2.6/patches-2.6/

but with "patch -p0 < PATCH.patch" or "patch < PATCH.patch" all of them give me errors.

this kernel should do it ...using the same one here + ubuntu MANUAL install

eid0_root_key verifyed, although that's the only thing not knowing howto verify with the original flash dump

how can one verify the ei0_root_key dumped and extracted from "dump" using the original flash-cex dump? thx

  7. #78
I will try ubuntu now.. I think that the only way to verify the eid0_root_key is to go on with the tutorial and see if in the decrypted first section of the id there is your IDPS. Sorry for my english.

your english is better then mine.. cause i didn't get it.. circle complete now

so yes the kernel your using must work fine, dump the "metldr" from your console into the metldrpwn folder and run the script run.sh from terminal from the metldrpwn folder

good news you can use Jaicrab's Preloader or even linux to flash back, can anyone tell us the command.. thx anyway

    From Linux to dump:
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/ps3nflasha of=nor.bin bs=1024
    to flash:
    Code:
    dd if=nor.bin of=/dev/ps3nflasha bs=1024
