PS3 CEX (Retail) to DEX (Debug) Conversion Method is Released!

I swapped HDD before installing linux and put it back after installing DEX firmware. All data is there, it didn't ask for formatting or anything.

What did you mean by "game update with EDAT"? Games from PSN / DLC?

And these "game update with EDAT" can be install on 3.55?

That's interesting. What kind of 3.55 CFW or OFW did you have before converting? And did you first install 3.55 dex and change the hdds or did you directly update to 4.10/15 dex and change the hdds?

Disc game updates. If there's one or more *.edat files inside PKG you just can't repack it correctly for dex.

I was on 3.55 kmeaw and put hdd back after installing 3.55 dex, then updated to 4.11 dex.

once one debug fw 4.11 can you downgrade back to cfw 3.55?

After "./run.sh" put the dump on an USB stick

mkdir /mnt/usb
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb
cp /proc/metldrpwn/dump /mnt/usb/dump

Then open it in an HEX editor and make a screenshot.

elser1: you need to flash back the CEX nor/nand and install a CEX FW / CFW.

Did you extract your "metldr" from your nor/nand dump?

rikukh3: so DEX console don't have support for edats or don't have support for retail edat?

yes i did, i copied to metldr folder is that the correct one?
