Great news!!! This console can be hacked, I am sure for this. The problem is that no-one try hard enough to hack it...

If SKFU, iQD and the other persons who working on this project try hard to hack the PS3 Blu-ray drive then they can do that!!!
We waited for a long, and now is the time to hack the ps3!!!

It came simply from looking at the picture... as they say, pictures can be worth a thousand words.

Why is this worthy of front page, this guy is a known faker.

In recent years SKFU has actually been quite helpful to some of the PS3 Devs, but to answer: any PS3 hack related project news gets frontpaged here- it's then up to users to share their thoughts/opinions in the thread on whether they think it will amount to anything or not.

I'm rooting for SKFU and crew, mainly as GeoHot seems to have left the PS3 scene hanging so any new PS3 hacking projects definitely interest me.

..there won't be. It's not a feasible solution to modify the firmware. And I don't think he's good enough to actually write a wrapper into an existing firmware.

So.. this one is probably the most likely solution - a way to map an external hdd to be read as a blu-ray.. actually a good idea. The wrapper could be written externally, that kind of thing, if the hardware board reads it as a bd.. would basically circumvent the entire security system if successful.

PUP is based mostly on well documented formats. You basically do exactly what you do when keygenning except here you have limited methods of tracing and animation unless you roll your own IDA plugin or disassembler front-end.

Over half the work is already done on the CFW concept, just simply nobody is working on that vector I guess cause most people don't know how to reverse RISC.
