If any of that's true, 1:1 etc, then it will definately have a role to play. Use for troubled games, future games that need etc. However it's nonsensical to re-rip without specific need to IMHO.
Also, I'd like to know how much faster this is... I doubt people will want to re-rip ALL of their games, just because it's 'faster'? What, is it like 1.2x faster? >.> C'mon, we need some numbers.
I'd like to hope that it's at LEAST 1.5x faster. Hopefully 2x faster or better, though.
ugh, doesn't work with previously ripped games? there's so many of them uploaded online though.
this does indeed look awful, I was expecting a fancy presentation and features such as transfer to and from external hdd, and have it so it displays the your HDD status aswell as how much space each game takes up.
I mean, wasn't this supposed to be only for people who buy the official PS Jailbreak? ($170)
Meh stay with open source (Open Manager). It's better. And look how many good forks are coming out of it. Eventually a merge is definitely going to occur and Open Manager (or whatever it's called by then) will be better than anything out there.
This really reminds me only slightly although it was kind of different of ToxicOS on DMS4 vs Crystal Chip which had open firmware you could modify (it came with firmware loaded that could not load backups). DMS = TOXiC and it was so obvious. A stupid way to release software though (attempting to be secret after lawsuits in Europe). And that is pretty much what is happening here with 'official' Backup Manager.
I think if there is anything better in this release than in the Open Manager, the crew behind it will implemented it in the newest release from Open Manager.
Just want to see the Backup Manager 1.1 are able to run 3D Dot Game Heroes and Heavy Rain (on these games I have problems with Open Manager) smoothly, without any failure.
