Hermes PS3 CFW - Custom Firmware 3.41 with Payload 4 Arrives

ok just to double check, I'm on a Slim model 2001A so it passes, and I use iPod with PSGroove. So I can just install the CFW and everything will still be on my HD?

Do i need to take any special steps when going from Hermes cfw to kmeaw? Can i go straight to kmeaw in recovery mode or do i need to install ofw 3.55 first? Thanks for any reply.

I think I would use recovery mode to reinstall OFW 3.41 first, then go straight to Kmeaw 3.55 from there. After you get to Kmeaw can you test your Bluray playback and post back?

Will do. Is there any known issues with missing bluray playback going from hermes cfw to kmeaw? I sure somebody must have done it before. Anyone?

No I don't think so. I am just debating doing exactly what you are and since I use my PS3 as my BD player I don't wanna mess that up.

same here I wanna update from Hermes 3.41 to Kmeaw CFW but am worried that the games I have installed already will be deleted or not playable, cuz 4 I installed using MultMan and they are located in ddev_hd/GAMES folder but the other 5 I installed using Comgenie and they are located in LAUNCH12345/GAMEZ folder.

I think i just wait a little bit longer to make sure i know what i am doing. I think i will eventually go from Hermes cfw 3.41-ofw 3.41-ofw 3.55 to Kmeaw 3.55 (in recovery mode). I let you know how it turned out. If you find anything on the subject, please post back. Thanks

I doubt it, but just to be safe I would recommend that you go back to OFW 3.41 in recovery mode before upgrading to 3.55 CFW.

You have to update to the real 3.55 and then use the recovery menu to update to the cfw. That is the way that i did it and it works great. Thanks
