Not necessarily - only if played over the internet. You can indeed still use it "locally" only within your own network or use some bettert router and VPN to it from outside leaving the PSN out of it etc.
It makes you wonder why Sony didn't just make it universal themselves if its that easy.
Because it seems like enabling the Remote Pay feature will cause the Hypervisor to allocate an extra 8 MB of XDR memory, and having only 256 MB of main memory makes each MB a very precious thing... console games are developed to always run on the same hardware so developers do not have to worry about having less memory available and code the game to count with every k available so enabling this will probably cause problems on most games...
I edited Marvel vs. Capcom 2's SFO and remote play crashes, now the interesting part is custom music doesnt work anymore on MVSC2, is the setting that enables custom music in the same SFO file perhaps?
