With the release of PS3 homebrew applications such as JaicraB's PS3 USB Custom Firmware Loader v0.3 and stoker25's PS3 Registry Editor many have started modifying aspects of their PlayStation 3 console, and today Nyleveia.com (linked above) detailed how to change the PS3 fonts.
Download: PS3 New Fonts
The process is actually quite simple, to quote:
"Simply take your favorite TTF font and make two copies of it, named as follows:
SCE-PS3-SR-R-LATIN
SCE-PS3-SR-R-LATIN2
And place these on your PlayStation 3 flash in the directory, /dev_flash/data/font/ overwriting the original fonts, then you simply need to go to theme settings and change the font to either rounded or pop to enjoy your new system font!"
Recap Using Mount Alejandro (Related Info: HERE and HERE):
- Mount dev_alejandro
- Open File Manager
- Replace files in /dev/data/font/
- Restart your PS3 System
