What I'm doing wrong, I wonder

A few things.

#1 you need to un-PUP the file first (use something like PUP Extractor from the Download section here)

#2 You need to specify a target (like in : ./depkg CORE_OS_PACKAGE315R.pkg CORE_OS_PACKAGE315R_decrypt.pkg

hmm just a guess but you might want to try "depkg" a pkg file instead of a pup.

i.e the update.pup file needs to be extracted first!

Same problem with this both... the data past 0x40660 isn't PPC code.

Like other GEOHOT works , probably is working but need some adjustment, we can wait that people like XORLOSER, DEMONHADES, JAICRAB, CJPC, NDT, GRAF_CHOKOLO and MANY other talented people (that now i forget) like them will help to improve this tool.

Had a quick go at porting this to windows. could anyone link me a fw package to test decrypting please? will upload the result if it works ok

Contains Bluetooth firmware. Uploading CORE_OS_PACKAGE was going to take 5 minutes so I just put the Bluetooth firmware instead.

3.55 NTSC.

cheers man, it works with that. need to sort out why hardcoded filenames work and args parsed in dont, but i'll just get me a coffee and should be able to upload in half hour or so. would anyone find the visual studio 2--5 project / source etc useful?

i'm not sure, but can it be spu/spe code?
