I wonder what would end up happening to stuff like these (NAND/NOR reader/writers) if some sort of software mod came out.
just easier to have 2 ps3..
1 for jb
1 for psn
simple... well simpler than breaking promises of dual booting etc..
See that was the main selling point for me was the dual boot. Now that is gone I am not sure what I am going to do with mine. I will review it and go from there.
They have not emailed me back about just soldering I and still using the dual boot. So still waiting.
Probably the same thing that happened to jb dongles, without adding any extra incentive in the form of functionality (like Cobra).

Well I would get the E3 flasher, since it's more easier to install (imo) and with the esata station you can more easily downgrade and upgrade between firmwares if you still want to use the "half dual-boot" procedure they talk about.
True, but the half dual-boot is a pain and really slow. Just to play devils advocate.
However, I think you're right being 10 bucks apart now. When the E3 was $88 and only having half dual-boot I would have got Progskeet. But now only 10 bucks makes it really difficult again...
The progskeet can also do this "half dual-boot" procedure. DiGiTaLAnGeL made it possible to switch between firmwares using the progskeet ( ), the same way the E3 flasher will probably work. http://www.ps3news.com/forums/ps3-ha...tml#post383313
So they're both very similar devices and both work the same.
But you still need a sata station right? So it's probably worth the ten more dollars
No you don't, you can just swap out the HDDs like you normally would. The esata station just makes it easier.
