deank, thanks a lot for updating the SHOWTIME media player to 3.1.178! I hope it fixes all the bugs with mp4 and mkv playback from your last release. cheers!
Hi every one I like to say thank you to Dean for his hard work in the creation of Multiman and Ebootfix. These are really good programs. The sad part is that don't work with all systems and games.
I tried to use ebootfix and can't fix Deus ex human to play in my cfw 3.55 ps3 40g. This game required a 3.60 update. I understand that up this day there is no way to play games with 3.60 update on 3.55 or lower firmware. I hope that one day a really hack for ps3 comes up and help to end all this non sense to all this firmware requirements to play games.
It is really sad to spend 4 or more hours to download a game and you can't play it. I guess for the moment have to stay with the Box to play all the games that ps3 can't play.
MultiMAN PS3 v02.04.00 Update, Includes Dev_Flash Write Access
Following up on his previous updates, today PlayStation 3 developer deank released another update to the PS3 backup manager bringing it to multiMAN version 02.04.00 (20110824-152900) which now allows write access to dev_flash via dev_blind.
Added: Option in XMMB Settings column: [Write access to /dev_flash via /dev_blind]
It means that you can enable write access to /dev_flash (using /dev_blind mount point) and manipulate its contents via FTP or File Manager mode. I used it to replace the .sprx files to disable Cinavia Protection (works!).
Files must be replaced in /dev_blind/vsh/module/ using either FTP or file manager mode in multiMAN. Actually it is quite easy to create a small standalone installer to do that, I wonder why no one did it.
