    Guys, about the nethost lines in the ini file... It was my error, because I posted the old format with | delimiters. The correct one is with star sign *:

    Each PC HOST definition must start with prefix nethost, followed by pc IP address, port and friendly name, separated by * and ending definition with *.

    Code:
    ...
    # NETWORK / PC HOST options
    # example:  nethost*IP*PORT*Friendly name*
    #
    #nethost*192.168.0.1*11222*My Games*
    #nethost*192.168.0.2*11222*My Music*
    #nethost*192.168.0.3*60806*NTFS USB HDD*

    #END

    Later today I'll release a new version.

    I finally found the problem with multiple entries and prolonged folder scanning.

    Also in the next version all entries about mount points and syscalls are removed. multiMAN will take care of all for you.

    Also it is possible to mount HDD AVCHD with PL3 payloads (until now it required syscall8/hermes4b).

    Also simple overscan option for the filemanager, too.

    And FINALLY, option to emulate /dev_flash from user defined folder, such as /dev_hdd0/new_flash. The benefits:

    * Speed (hdd is much faster than USB or MemoryStick/SDHC card)
    * You can quickly manipulate files and folders using multiMAN filemanager
    * You don't waste USB ports
    * Works with PL3 payload

    First post updated with more information

    multiMAN 01.10.00 is now available

    * options.ini is changed
    * a lot of fixes
    * fixed double listing and folder scanning speed
    * added option to mount /dev_flash to user defined hdd folder
    * syscall and mount point options removed
    * mounting AVCHD from internal HDD now works for all payloads
    * overscan option applied to filemanager mode, too
    * version for firmware 3.15 attached, too (do not use it for FW 3.41, because OnScreenKeyboard and HOST doesn't work)

    Included default options file:

    great job as always dean. i have one question though. to use the nethost, does it allow for complete navigation through your pc folders or are you supposed to put in the directory of one folder at at time? for example, i want it to point to my downloads folder which is located:
    C:\Users\MAK\Downloads

    so do i use this as:
    nethost*192.168.0.1*11222*C:\Users\MAK\Downloads*

    thanks.

    ok, i just noticed it's reading HDD for this time (of black screen) so I think you, dean, changed way that manager is checking backup folder and it takes a longer time than 1.09.04. (I have over 300gb of backups on inter. HDD)

    I even skipped other paths and still same. Could you please explain how it exacly works now?

    If you read again the my post about nethost support you'll see that the last parameter is a FRIENDLY NAME and the serving folder is defined by the ps3serv application.

    In your case you must have

    nethost*192.168.0.1*11222*Downloads*

    and on you PC (with IP 192.168.0.1 - if that's your real pc IP) you need to start

    ps3serv C:\Users\MAK\Downloads 11222

    At the moment the relation is ONE_PORT = ONE_SHARED_PATH

    If you wish you can share your c:\ drive, but browsing will be slow.

    Are you KIDDING me! I take a couple days off reading every post in this thread, and all this gets updated?! Deanrr you are the best. I'll be testing this tonight, specifically the filemanager overscan. You may remember I was the first to request any overscan option. Thanks so much for all your work. The nethost options sound so great I just can't believe it, opens new doors to so much.

    If you get the black screen - just wait for it to complete. If you have nethosts misconfigured it may cause the delay. Scanning a lot of folders also may take time.

    I don't have 300GB of games on my internal to check if it really causes such delay.

    Normally multiMAN should show its first message about 10-15 seconds after you launch it. It loads a lot of images, loads a lot of libraries and clears files. It is not a simple program which loads instantly - sorry.

    The overscan for the filemanager is only for both pane lists. You may still not see the TOP and the BOTTOM lines, but it is enough to perform all the operations (copy/rename/move/delete).

    i did read the post but was unsure as how to do it still. whenever i click on the ps3serv.exe it just flashes really fast and i do not see where i can add the line to it. your instructions are not too clear. i know it is frustrating with everyone asking you questions all the time and most of the time it is the same question over and over. i did a search before i asked and tried to understand the instructions but was still confused. thanks.
