    Advantage of Debug Firmware?

What is the advantages of having a debug firmware installed to your PS3? Besides the fact that the debug firware have the additional debug settings menu. Does the debug FW doesn't have sigcheck? Anything else?

You can swap buttons (X and O) and install pkg files (signed ones from ps store) from usb/ms, thats all I know is working.

    Are there anything else?

None, but you lose the ability to play Blu-ray movies and when you go back to Retail you have to update to a higher version... so really no 'advantages' at all unless you have a Debug PS3 and can actually use the Debug Firmware.

its cool in a way, but if you watch blu ray then just keep it the same.

I want to know if you can install Debug FW 2.4 on a Retail PS3... from 2.35 Retail. That would be nice. But who knows, whats fixed and what not.

i hope someone will find a way to run usigned code on it.

is it possible to install the 2.0 debug firmware on a 2.36 retail firmware?

this is probably a noob question, but can someone tell me if there is a size limit as to how big of a SATA HDD drive that you can have on the PS3.

Is there a way to get the PS3 in Full Debug mode instead of partial, not to say that I would go right out and do that but just curious if it is possible.

    Arrow

Check the PS3 HDD section, there are threads on it there... it's at least 750GB though.

And no, there is no way to get it to full debug mode thus far.
