with 1.00 fw you could bypass the update but you couldnt make an account for PSN until you get 1.10 (they wouldnt let you agree to the tos). currently you wont be able to get on to the PSN (as you could a month or 2 back) unless you have >1.50 as you will just get an error msg. you can still browse the web and such but you wont be able to go to the ps store where all the dl contents are.

there is a tutorial on here on how to get it to work but all i did was change the port from 8080 to 80 and it worked for me:

Been trying to transfer over ArmourCore4 Demo over the ps3proxy, I've done it with every demo available, but this one keeps restarting again at around 65%. Is it because of its large file size?

I downloaded this demo via the proxy using the URL link rather than the PKG from my PC.

Error installing from PC

hey guys, i have fw 1.70 and im trying to install demos from PC, when i download some files and activators i get the following error: An error occured during the install operation (8002AE04)

i get this for most of them any ideas?

8002AE04 i get this error 2 on 1.7.. is it been patched against using ps3 proxy?

I keep having a problem... My PS3 won't connect because it cannot contact the server. Did I do something wrong or is it because I'm using Firmware 1.70?

I should also note that I'm using Apples AirPort Extreme as a wireless router...

I have firmware 1.70 and i get that error (8002AE04) when trying to install the demos. If i use download in background, it goes to photos directory...

Yeah, same happens to me. I've tried numerous times, to no avail, I even tried that Traffic Shaper.
