no chance - i've been fighting with Microsoft for a few weeks now as my XP Media Center 2005 PC won't allow Windows Media Player 11 to install correctly, so they've walked me through all the MS .NET framework updates possible....

oh well, i suppose i speak for a lot of people here, but unless something EASY is created like the 3r1c version of the PS3Proxy, i won't be using it.... the Add and Replace business of the CF3B5 version just isn't going to fly with me, clicking and searching for files on the PC is the only way i'll do something like this - and considering there isn't a REAL reason yet to have a proxy server setup to load anything (no good full version games can be loaded - Gripshift is junk IMO), i'll just hold out until everything works the way it should, thanks though!

A few days ago I would have said Gripshift is junk too, but when I actually played the real game instead of the demo, for some reason I started to love it. I especially love that you always have to do something tricky to get the fastest time possible.

Back to the point at hand... Using PS3.ProxyServer is actually very easy, especially if you use the English version. I like it a lot better than 3r1c's version because you can use the firmware update bypass, and you can also sniff other links, such as the PS3 connecting to DNAS.

You can click and search for your files in CF3B5's version too. You just have to sniff (or already know) one URL first.

Hey Gerdzio, make sure that the size of the Demo your clicking on is larger than the .pgk file your trying to install.

I too was getting an error when installing Gripshift while using the Gripshift Demo because the Demo is smaller in size than the full game... I then changed and used the Gran Turismo demo instead and Gripshift installed with no problem.
