In the second box of the ps3 proxyserver program delete the .pkg text in the box. You will then see the links from the ps3 to start showing up. Hope it works for you and have fun.

i used the gripshift demo to install it, and it works. i later then tried fL0w but no luck.

I setup a couple pcs in order to capture all traffic from my ps3, and also use simple dns to bypass firmware check (using 2nd pc).

all traffic in and out of the ps3 goes through my main pc, since it has 2 nic cards that i bridged together. so the ps3 gets all it's internet access from the main pc, which i then run Ethereal on. (can't run the DNS Sever on same pc the ps3 is getting internet connection from - this is why i had to use a 2nd pc for simple dns).

anyway, i bought a copy of Qbert from the sony store so i can capture all the traffic in steps (hoping to see how it works with installing paid for games). If any of the hardcore experts who are working on trying to decrypt the games want to look at the capture, let me know. (soon as i make sure there is no credit card info in that part of the capture - there shouldn't be, since i captured the process in steps)

You can clearly see the SSL activity to and from your PS3 in the box you highlighted. Please post the network traffic when you can.

It was the first 'scene' PS3 PKG release basically... things on the Web and on P2P etc don't count (to them) only what is released by established groups on topsites. Mainly they just release them so that it becomes more wide-spread, versus only people who know of a few PS3 Web sites finding out about them.

It would have been a lot nicer if they released one that wasn't already working and told us how to fix it, but maybe that is still to come... we can always hope, eh? =]

I broke my whole capture process into 4 separate caputures.
1. logging into the sony store.
2. adding money to my cart
3. confirming the purchase
4. download and install.

the only thing that is preventing me from posting the #4 cap file is the SSL portion of it (boxed out in my ethereal picture in my previous post)... it is communicating with the same servers it did for when i added money to my cart, ect.

just installed it and I'm running firmware v1.10, and it's telling me a system software update is required, if I need to update the system what version should I install so I can still maybe still use the iso loader later.
