yours says US but i'm in australia and i think mine runs on the sa (south asia) server so do i need to make those changes in your guide?

ya, you might need to change it accordingly for whatever server Australia uses. probably gonna have to change the folder structure a little, and edit the text file too.

is this the local ip address i need to put in my ps3? cause i put it in but it says "the value you entered is not valid"

no, you need to put in your own ip adres. open a DOS box on windows xp, click your Start button, go to RUN, type in " CMD " and in that dos box, type IPCONFIG, it will show you your ip adress.

i just added both servers just in case, for anyone who cant get this to work you gotta try setting up your own web server and use diverge's guide on post 387.

did you make a sa folder instead of us folder?

ok do these 2 things:

1. instead of creating the us folder create a sa folder
2. in the ps3-updatelist.txt copy this exactly into the txt and change the ip address (mine from my router is 192.168.1.100 and is what i put in my ps3's DNS) to yours accordingly.

Anyone got this working with firmware 1.10. Thats what i have and i can't get it to work. Gonna try again tonight.

Works fine. Can create account, download demos, play online, etc.

I used SimpleDNS approach since I was getting crashes using ettercap.

I have a JAP machine, what do i put in the text file?

I created a folder called jp and in my text file did this
IP of pc running web server is 192.168.2.3, and I also put this in PS3 dns server. My router IP is 192.168.2.1.
Is this correct as its not working at mo
