naa im talking about the new "PATCH" sony put on tuesday or monday, that gives everyone including me the copyright error? o and the one that puts it under game (for me its 192 MB)
Why do i keep getting the message "An unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will shut down immediately" then in the bottom left-hand corner it says "Value cannot be null."
well i've just downloaded that 225Mb file and installed it on my PS3 via the proxy. The Home icon is still visible under the Playstation Network category on the XMB and i now have a different Home icon under the Game category.
When i click this to run it says copyright information is invalid. When i press triangle then click information the Version, Owner and Starts fields are all blank (Similar to the ones on a PS1 game for example).
Looking at the file in a HEX viewer it appears to still contain the name of the 192MB file.
Looks like this file is good to go but needs to be activated before being downloaded or some how being hacked and having your username put into the Owner field.
ok, my eyes hurt. ive searched and searched. we need to know the process of how the owner field is filled in when games are downloaded.
can any one find some info on it. when u buy a game it assigns that game in your dl list 2 that user that bought it. thats why the user must remain on the ps3.
didnt psp have this happen but they have a way to decrypt them now?
Agreed... if he is getting the same copyright protection error everyone else is now it appears whatever 'magic' that existed is now gone thanks to Sony's latest update.
