1. So, if I'm understanding this, NOW you CANNOT access it anymore?

p.s. How did you not think the save file was important, people have been asking for that since like page 6 or something?!? (just curious, MAYBE you didn't read that part)?

There's another point I would like to make regarding why it will take sooooo long for rda990's new video to come out, but I'll wait till I see it (i.e. how its edited, filmed, generally put together) before I comment.

I got the game save to work:

put in the folders in this order on your memory stick or usb flash drive:

PS3->SAVEDATA->(The Folder With The Save)

But it made no difference for me since the update still gets in the way.

rda990 is telling the truth as I've spoke with him earlier today and his method is quite simple (using the PS3.ProxyServer) I used this same method and was greeted with the obvious "update" which you cannot get by.

X is to accept the update in which it installs it right there. or O in which does nothing but cancel out the prompt leaving you only to hit X to reconnect again for the update. I've tried it using the proxy and without (logging on) and no luck obviously.

As he mentioned he is working on a work-a-round which i wish him luck on. I'm still unsure how we'd access the Home pkg/eboot unless we hook up our harddrives to our computers which is a royale pain if you don't have the proper devices. We shall see what rda990 and cs475x can do for us (and I'll do the same)

Can the update be bypassed by changing something in that update xml file?

Maybe it can trick Home into thinking its already updated... simple approach I know... but has anyone tried it?

the main link for HOME doesnt seem to be working anymore. I tried to grab the old link for the stores thread and i got HOME on my ps3 but am getting a server error when i try and install it. Do i need to grab the .pkg from the new link?

Does anyone know of a mirror link for that .pkg that is described along with the .xml files? thanks

quoted for truth. i tried the F@H method the other day, so i have a copyright erroring Home button under Game. then i downloaded the two XMLs, and the PKG from this link:

http://pkg.ww.home.playstation.net/h...00000001-E.pkg

but this link is to a file that is only 175KB! i thought it was odd when i downloaded it, but tried it anyway. when i restarted the PS3 and pressed X on the Home button that had appeared under Network, and said Install, it said 100% and then immediately gave me an error.

looking at one of the videos, the file said 190MB (different from the older F@H method, which was 224mb). so does anyone know of a link to the right file?
