X is to accept the update in which it installs it right there. or O in which does nothing but cancel out the prompt leaving you only to hit X to reconnect again for the update. I've tried it using the proxy and without (logging on) and no luck obviously. As he mentioned he is working on a work-a-round which i wish him luck on. I'm still unsure how we'd access the Home pkg/eboot unless we hook up our harddrives to our computers which is a royale pain if you don't have the proper devices. We shall see what rda990 and cs475x can do for us (and I'll do the same)

the main link for HOME doesnt seem to be working anymore. I tried to grab the old link for the stores thread and i got HOME on my ps3 but am getting a server error when i try and install it. Do i need to grab the .pkg from the new link? Does anyone know of a mirror link for that .pkg that is described along with the .xml files? thanks |

http://pkg.ww.home.playstation.net/h...00000001-E.pkg but this link is to a file that is only 175KB! i thought it was odd when i downloaded it, but tried it anyway. when i restarted the PS3 and pressed X on the Home button that had appeared under Network, and said Install, it said 100% and then immediately gave me an error. looking at one of the videos, the file said 190MB (different from the older F@H method, which was 224mb). so does anyone know of a link to the right file? |
