Highlight the file press Triangle and there should be an option to COPY.

So no word on PS3Proxy just disappearing?

It remains to run under Task Manager, yet can't be brought to front or Maximized. It isn't even on the Taskbar.

Been tried on two seperate PCs on the same network...

uh... i suddenly can't login using the ps3proxy method anymore. The ps3-update.txt gets redirected to my comp correctly but afterwards it just says "error occured while resolving name with server"

originally i thought it was the dns acting up but then I was still able to browse with the web browser.

any ideas?

hey there - are you running the 3rlc version? cause that sounds like the problem i used to have. try using the one by CF3B5 - called ps3proxy.gui (or similar) installer (ENGLISH) - it's found in the ps3 downloads section - this version, imo, is a lot better

I've been using the 3r1c proxy program for a few months now with no problems, but for the last 2 days it no longer seems to be working. I am getting the 80028EA6 error message. Has anyone else been having any troubles as of lately?

in ps3 proxy gui version, when the ps3 tries to sign in it will search for that file on the psnetwork (which contains the uptodate firmware version and link to its ps3updat.pup) so what we do with the proxy is just redirect that to an update file of our own that says the most recent firmware is 0.00 ..heh

and about your prob... make sure the "PS3" folder is in the root folder of the memstick or whatever youre using. so x:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP

the firmware check does not bypass the FWcheck to play games right? cause i have a psp and the fw check for games is programmed into the game and i would assume it would be the same for ps3 =/ or am i getting something wrong?

from what i understand this FW check bypass is for sony server (store, or whatever?)

That´s right. if you want to bypass the fw check on games (not demos) you have to use the RFoM or F1 trick.

oh thanks! but whats the "of F1 trick" part? i understand using resistance: fall of man to boot, then save and exit to boot up another game, but i dont get how F1 is involved? thanks!
