Yaka,

I have a similar set up to yourself. Only, i'm using a Belkin modem.

Have you got any anti-virus programs blocking access?
Have you tried just SimpleDNS to get onto the store? Once that is working then try proxy to do the rest.

If you're using SimpleDNS you should be able to use the attached file to populate the values, rather than having to enter everything manually.

Assuming you've already got SimpleDNS installed:-
Save the 2 files from the attached archive into "C:\Program Files\Simple DNS Plus\data" folder. The two files are "ps3.update.playstation.net.dns" and "boot" (with no extension)

Then load SimpleDNS and go to "Records" (or press F2) and check that you see all the entries as per the example screenshot attached.

so i think ive sorta got it almost working unless i am mistaken

PAL PS3 on shipped firmware which I beleive is 1.5, bypassed the upgrade with PS3 Proxy Server and replacing
Code:
http://fau01.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/list/au/ps3-updatelist.txt
with a local .txt file with the contents
Code:
# AU/NZ
Dest=89;ImageVersion=00000000;SystemSoftwareVersion=0.00;CDN=http://www.ps3news.com/;CDN_Timeout=30;
But I can't for the life of me get Resistance to stay connected to a network game, the PS3 is using a PC as a proxy, and sometimes I get into a game for a couple of seconds, but then I get disconnected, most of the time it can't find any games although I have started my own custom game succesfully? Does Resistance require upgraded firmware for the Internet Multiplayer to work in Australia? Can anyone confirm it working on PAL 1.5 Firmware? Thanks

Motorstorm confirmed working fine on the same setup... I beleive all ports are open on my router although it is performing NAT... please help.

i tried using ettercap, it basicly time out my pc. it losses connection to my router for some reason, i found ps3.proxy way more simple. just let ps3 configure everything automatically and make sure the proxy ip is your pc and your off.

Anyway to completely uninstall Simple DNS Plus? The evaluation exceeded but when I uninstall and reinstall a "different" version it says Licensed but it still says evaluation expired. Any registry keys I need to remove?

Or are there any free alternative DNS programs for bypassing the firmware?

eternal, have you tried to clean out the registries for Simple DNS? There's a write up somewhere in the thread for which entries to look for and delete.
