PS3 Firmware Version Check Bypassed thread!

Hi,

I'm online with 1.5 using SimpleDNS. Since a few minutes, the game crashes everytime I try to join a room or to create a room. It just goes back to XMB. The problems started just about 20 minutes ago.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Everyone,

I tried PS3 proxy and ps3 proxy server but was unable to connect to playstation store. But my real problem is that now if I go to the sony website and try to download the updated firmware for ps3 it takes me to a page that says:

"Not Found. The requested document was not found on this server. Web Server at PS3News.com"

I have tried to find any file that could have been created by any of the two programs but no luck, Can any body tell what I have to do to fix this problem. The PSP firmware download works just fine and I can get the ps3 firmware with a different computer on the same router. Both programs have been uninstalled.

i have a ps3, x360 and couple of other pcs connectted to a router which inturn is connected to my cable modem do these version check bypass methods work ok for people who are connected like this?

Im in SA as well. It uses the eu update site. I made a ps3-updatelist.txt with the following and saved it on my pc

Downloaded PS3.ProxyServer.Gui, put in the IP: 192.168.1.x and use the same IP for proxy server under network setttings on my ps3 with all other settings on auto. Go to replace files on PS3.ProxyServer and on the left put in:

http://feu01.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/list/eu/ps3-updatelist.txt

and on the right click the dot and find ps3-updatelist.txt on your pc and click start.Reset your ps3 and u should be able to log onto the network.

gripshift stop working for me, anybody else? when i start it, it freezes when it says, game save data automatically, do not switch power off, then your suppose to press O for back but it freezes. on firmware 1.51 using proxy server

just to let all know there are many ways you can screw up your setup. this method does work and you must have firmware above 1.5 . so if you have the firmware then its a problem on your end. read and learn form the many pages of posts and you should figure it out.

this is my setup. i can use proxy server and have no problems if i use a computer off my router that has wireless connection. if i try to use my desktop that is wired into the router i have problems. i dont even see attempts logged into proxy server. if i use my other desktop that has a wireless card i get proxy server to work. just to show you all it does work but sometimes takes a little playing with settings to figure out how to do it.

if its not working for you its your setup you should play with your settings and pc settings till it works.

now if i can take my advice and figure out why my wired pc wont work. lol.

ive tried all the ways suggested on here for windows based pc, all of em i have followed to a tee ands till get no result. my pc, ps3 and x360 are connected to netgear rp614 router and nothings worked for me so far and now im even contemplating upgraded the FW just so i can get GTHD now

well ive followed the Daz guide off page 37 but it says a software up date is need when trying to log on to ps3 store

anyone got any suggestions?

im on auk ps3 with fw 1.50
