First off, I'd just like to say THANK YOU to evilsperm for introducing me to Posadis, it's exactly what I've been looking for.

Secondly, while using Posadis, I noticed something interesting. As soon as I tried to connect to the playstation network on my PS3, I looked at my PeerGuardian on my computer that is running Posadis, and it was blocking a bunch of connections to Sony. This was preventing me from logging in on my PS3. There were about 3 different IPs it was trying to connect to, and after I allowed just 1 of them, I could connect on my PS3 just fine. For those who are having problems, you might want to look into this and see if your problem is caused by something similar.

-=Edit=-
Now that I'm using this some more, I see that I have to allow all the IPs, or else the PS3 will hang trying to load certain pages.

The files at the store are .pkg files which are encrypted also. So I dont think your theory will work. Btw if you look closely you will see that .pkg file are also found inside the PS3UPDAT.PUP files

Yo man I just did those exact updates yesterday. I did them and I have 1.32 and I am still at 1.32. "They are game only!"

My connection is not working at all now since my computer ip change from 103 to 101. I redid the settings but nothing. I am prolly gonna have to do it all over. How do I stop my computer from change ip's?

if you have DHCP, then you cant help it, but if you use static IP then you can fix your IP address. but that will require you to have static DNS from your internet service provider as well.

however, you do not need to do all of the things again. all you gotta do is to change your PS3's DNS from 103 to 101 (as your pc changes IP).

ok i like to know what im doing wrong, first i followed all the instructions on the pc end to the t, the part i mess up on is setting up the ps3 part, for the ip address i just make up one, like i read, for the subnet mask i put 255.255.255.0 for the router i put 67.15.88.46 the address that is on the server which is supposed to be the site address, and for the primary dns i put my own ip address so what is the problem, its not bypassing the firmware. can somebody help me on the ps3 end? thank u
