i'm really don't understand what using dupes or any of the configuring is i'm not too saavy with this and i noticed the ip numbers in the wireless and lan change from time to time.

Lan side is 192.168.0.14
Wireless side is 192.168.0.10

sure go to your program file directory, then ettercap, then i believe it is in the share folder replace the ettercap.dns file with the one from ps3news.

Hi guys,

I've followed Jurai's tutorial with Simple DNS, but every time I try to log into the network, I end up with the 80710102 error. I configured it according to the steps Jurai layed out...

When I test my connection, it says all is well and that I can communication with the Playstation network.

Any help is appreciated,

systros be sure that your end window in simple dns looks exactly like the one from jurais post. i forgot to ad the dus01 ps3 update the first time i did this and i was getting a error simillar to yours.

need a confirmation, i followed Jurai method to the T and it worked. no more msg asking for firmware upgrade. The problem is that i cant create an account for PSN. I never upgraded so its still at 1.00, but it hangs on the ToS everytime and wont let me accept. i scrolled thur the text as supposed to and the only thing i can do is exit when i come to the end as nothing works. I heard you need at least 1.1 is that true?

I tried both method and it still doesn't work out for me. It always show me the message that I need to do a System Update before heading into the PS store or sign in. In addition, there occur a really weird problem. I can't turn off my PS3 system with the PS button anymore (you know, holding down the PS button until the options appear for you to be able to turn off your controller or the system). I can access that menu but pressing the X button to shut off the system is not in effect. Also I can't back out for that menu. Very very strange. Any helps on these couple problems? :??

I have both dus01, fus01 and ps3.update.playstation.net set to 67.15.88.46 as A records. :S still errorring me

It may be possible, try using this link on your pc: https://account.np.ac.playstation.ne...bSelect.action

Although it does not have USA etc listed, maybe the others may work for you?
