I second that. It worked the first time. License expired right after that. Both, Jurai's and kswift's methods don't seem to work at all for me. followed all the steps for both guides to no avail. tried setting ps3 dns settings to my comp's IP along with a list of sony server addresses. All I get it is a 80710102 error: cannot resolve name with server at the end. Anyone got any tips?

well a custom dns is what changes the ip crap is resolved to, so i'm guessing it would have to be on whenever you're online with ps3. i haven't done this just trying to help with my limited knowledge of this.

Thank you sir. I shall be grabbing this as soon as my other download finishes.

To those that are asking, you will have to spoof your DNS settings if you want to play on-line everytime. If you don't then you will be connecting to the real-deal $ony network instead of this alternate one that doesn't check the PS3 firmware version.

This is a great accomplishment by those who posted/set it up. I can't wait to see what else comes out of this. I have never updated the firmware on my PS3. It is what it is from whatever version comes out of the box.

Now all we need is an ISO Loader. :smilew

I was thinking maybe if i typed out what i was seeing it would help someone to help me so here goes...this is what i get when trying to connect...
Obtain Network Address Succeeded
Internet Connection Failed
Playstation Network -
UPnP -
NAT Type -
An error occured while resolving the name with the server(80710102)

I also get this in my system tray....Windows-System Error
There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network

My Wireless Router is a Linksys Wireless-G Cable Gateway Model WCG200

Edit: Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix
IP Address.............
Subnet Mask............
Default Gateway........

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix
IP Address.............
Subnet Mask............
Default Gateway

Now the IP address in the Local Area Connection differs from the Wireless Network Connection does that matter at all?

It's not bad doing this everytime. It's worth it because I want an iso loader and still be able to play online.

This means your DNS is not working correctly. I had the same error until I configured SimpleDNS.

Somewhere your using the same IP on your LAN. I'd double-check your addresses to make sure your not using dupes.

It shouldn't matter.
What numbers are you using on the wireless side..?

If I knew what IP's your using I can maybe work this out for you and give you some help.

Are there any other tools that can be used with Windows? <My Simple NDS license key is invalid, it worked the first time I entered it, but asked for a key again later which Simple NDS could not validate. It looks like this will expire after the 2 week trial. Any other suggestions? I could not get Kswift510's method to work, but Jurai's method worked, but there is the license issue.

Thanks for all the info!
