How to use Hermes Patch and Get Problematic PS3 Games (EyePet, F1 2010, SSF4, Racquet Sports, GForce) Working

Well it took me a minute to read over the open manager thread once or twice to finally get all these games working properly.

I figured i'd post this again so whoever missed it can stop bothering the Devs. here for simple testing questions. I will continue to test NON-WORKING GAMES in this Thread to help thin down some of the developmental threads which are loaded with these questions, and really distracting people from getting the right information

I really can't help that much... i've only owned a PS3 since sept 10. so technical questions might go unanwsered but i'll test until i find an answer so if you dont want to use the OBM version im using or PSGroove 1.1... it might take me a minute to get to your problem....

All these games are tested and CONFIRMED WORKING PERFECTLY!

- I use PSgroove 1.1 and OBM 1.13
- I also use the origanal FTP program because ive never had a problem with it.
- I'm using OBM OM_BG_Jurai_Oct1_142pm.pkg
- I have a 320gb Move Bundle PS3 with the sports disc

I'm still running all my games from Games/LAUN12345/Gamez

Getting SSF4 to work was easy...

- I just copied it to my external USB HD in the Gamez folder
- Opened OBM 1.13 and tapped r2 to enable the hermes patch
- Loaded SSF4
- Worked Perfectly

Racquet Sports was easy and will work directly off an external like SSF4

- I just copied it to my external USB HD in the Gamez folder

GForce was easy and will work directly off an external like SSF4

- I just copied it to my external USB HD in the Gamez folder

Getting F1 2010 wasnt as easy but still easy...

**IMPORTANT: IF YOU TRIED TO BOOT THIS GAME IN THE PAST YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE ALL GAME DATA BEFORE THIS GAME WILL WORK... IE. EBOOT NOT FOUND, CONNECT CONTROLLER ISSUES... So go delete the prior load in the game data folder!**

- I FTP'ed the F1 2010 game to my Internal HD location (Games/LAUN12345/Gamez)
- Then i copied the game from my Internal HD to my External HD using the OBM 1.13
- Then I deleted the Origanal Copy from my Internal HD
- I copied the F1 2010 game back to my internal hD from the External HD using OBM 1.13
- Then i deleted the game from my external HD
- I enabled the Hermes Patch by pressing R2
- Loaded the game
- F1 2010 works perfectly... This game is cool and worth the 5 mins to copy from HDD0 to USB HDD to HDD0

Getting Eyepet wasnt as easy but still easy...

The copy i'm using is EyePet_USA_JB_PS3-MOVE

- Then i copied the game from my Internal HD to my External HD using the OBM 1.13
- When Complete it says this is a non-bootable game(IGNORE - Obvious you cant run split files off the external)
- Then I deleted the Origanal Copy from my Internal HD
- I copied the EyePet game back to my internal hD from the External HD using OBM 1.13
- Then i deleted the game from my external HD
- I enabled the Hermes Patch by pressing R2
- Loaded the game
- EyePet works perfectly... My son has his first pet...its hatched from its shell and hes feeding him now... all move functions work... using a move controller and camera. Hope that makes this easy and clear to understand...

Big ups to jurai2 for all the work he's been doing... YOU are the MAN!

I will start to test black screen games like Bakugan Battle Brawlers, and other non working games...

Out of all the games i've tested (57 games) I can perfectly play all of them including my move games...

I'm only gonna be testing games that have double red x's on the JB compatibilily list!

Using this configuration:

-Bakugan Battle Brawlers can be played perfectly if transfered using Open Backup Manager from External to Internal HD, when before the Origanal Backup Manager wouldnt not play the game from either locations

-Despite being on the Release List as Nuked for not working "Shrek Forever After JB PS3-ANTiDOTE" works perfectly from the External HD using this configuration

-Shaun White Snowboarding is not working still under this configuration.

NBA 2K11 was easy and will work directly off an external like SSF4

- I just copied it to my external USB HD in the Gamez folder
- Opened OBM 1.13 and tapped r2 to enable the hermes patch
- Loaded NBA2K11
- Worked Perfectly

And NBA 2K11 seems to be another move capatible game!

• ERASE the Update Folder
• DONT CHANGE ANYTHING IN PARAM.SFO
• GAME MUST BE COPIED USING OBM FROM EXTERNAL TO INTERNAL
• HERMES PATCH NEEDS TO BE ENABLED TO PLAY.
• ENJOY

Its not structured like other games, although I am now downloading a second version of the game which is structured correctly.

I had no problems with red dead redemption... you might need to get another copy... game worked perfectly off the external NO patch NEEDED!

Could you explain how? How did you get it to run off external?

the .rpf file is 7gb
