    Introduction:

Ever wanted to find an easy way to transfer your music/video collection to your PS3? Well, here's your chance! With this guide, you can finally get your music/videos on your PS3!

This guide has been confirmed to work with the following iPod types. It may work with other types.

    30 gig 5.5g
    80 gig 5.5g
    30 gig 5g
    80 gig 5g
    Nano Redesign

    Procedure for Music:

    1. Connect your iPod to your PS3 like you would with your computer.
    2. The iPod will show up as USB DEVICE (iPod)
    3. Press triangle, and hit display all when highlighting the iPod in the music section of the XMB.
    4. Go into the folder iPod_control.
    5. Go to the folder Music.
    6. You will now see a lot of folders that begin with the letter F. Press triangle, and select copy all.
    7. The PS3 will now start to copy your music.
    8. Once it finishes, go to the music section in the XMB, and there's your music!

    Procedure for Videos:

    1. Connect your iPod to your PS3 like you would with your computer.
    2. The iPod will show up as USB DEVICE (iPod)
    3. Press triangle, and hit display all when highlighting the iPod in the video section of the XMB.
    4. Go into the folder iPod_control.
    5. Go to the folder Music.
    6. You will now see a lot of folders that begin with the letter F. Press triangle, and select copy all.
    7. The PS3 will now start to copy your videos.
    8. Once it finishes, go to the video section in the XMB, and there's your videos!!

    FAQ:

    Q. My music is named all weird!
    A. Recopy your music. If that doesn't work, then the ID3 tags are in the wrong format, or the music is in AAC format.

    Q. Will the PS3 read the ID3 tags?
    A. Yes, it will.

    Q. How long does the copying process take?
    A. About 20 minutes per 400 songs.

    Q. Does the music/videos lose any quality?
    A. No, it does not.

I noticed a majority of my music is in AAC format so the names are all incorrect. Is there a way to convert the AAC to MP3 to get the correct music file names?

    Unhappy Compatible

I just tested it with my old ipod nano, it seems to work fine. My friends nano redesign also works fine with it. So far it looks like everyone with a itouch of iphone will have to get their precious music on the ps3 some other way...
