FW 2.35 and PS3 Proxy

Can someone please clarify the following two issues for me:

1) I am currently on FW 2.30, and I can use the Folding@Home method to download stuff, works fine .. However, I am trying to find out if there is some method of doing the same for 2.42 as well, or not .. I am asking this so that I should only update, *if* this passive download ability is also available with 2.42 ..

2) I have Resistance 2 BETA installed on my PS3 ... But I cannot run it: I need to update my firmware ... Is there anyway to run the BETA without updating the firmware ??

How you install the beta ?

Who have fw 2.42 has copyright error, when install.

Whit the link "The Club" you can download the beta from your PC to PS3 using proxy.

Because the two demos has 1.7 GB
