Hopefully a moderator will link in first post for me.
Done, but I just added it at the top since you didn't mention a specific location in the first post. ;-)

Thanks for the help - I really appreciated it - you do good work here - as do so many others.

Thanks for the link - I totally missed that thread in my research over the past couple of weeks.
And thanks to dbarbeary for the vilvic media center info.

Though the lack of 5.1 support is a deal breaker for me - I'll continue on my mission of building my new HTPC, since it is almost done anyway (or, all the parts have been procurred at any rate).

One of the reasons I want to use a HTPC is for getting the uncompressed pcm dolby digital - I don't have an HDMI receiver, so I need the 6 channel analog outputs. But now I'm concerned that the m2ts stream doesn't contain that. I haven't seen any definative info on that - is all the audio available on the disc present in the main m2ts movie file? Or am I still going to be disappointed?

yeah, thanx for the vilvic media center info.
works great!

dont forget to rename the *.m2ts file to *.mp4
else, you can't save it to ps3 HDD for some reason.

1. yellowdog installed and working on ps3
2. vlc installed on yellowdog (cant check to see if its working, but looks ok)

3. managed to get a blu-ray downloaded via newsgroup and can say 100% its working as i have tested on my pc. this movie contains 4 folders as follows backup / clipnf / playlist / stream. In the stream folder are the 17 x .m2ts files which i presume are the movie/menus etc.

please can anyone help me get from this to a working movie on my ps3?

You enter the IP Address into the PS3 browser then download the files that way.

hey all - i've gotten up to the part of running backupbluray and i get a CPS error - here is the code

Backup Blu-Ray V0.21 Starting
Testing Source
Found valid Blu-ray source
Look for this movie in my database
Hash= 94B7AB... etc etc
Could not find the CPS Key.

that number has nothing to do with the key in the CPS file - it's Xmen3 btw - and the Aus version, don't know if it matters - but do i need to copy the key file somewhere?

the source is /xmen
the app is /backupblurayv021/
and the output is /test

as you can see i'm trying to keep it simple

thanks for any thoughts
