I have a problem I have backed up the blu ray disc disneys dinosaur. I do not know what the cps key is as it is not on any website. Is there any way for me to manually find this key. I have the udf 2.5 drivers installed on my pc and I have daemon tools. I have the imaged mounted and can see asll the files. Any help on what to do next would be great.

Make sure that you have to copy and paste the BackupBluRay.cmd, BackupBluRay.jar and CPSKey.cfg in C:\Documents and Setting\(your username) folder. You also have to copy and paste "client" from and to then rename it to "server" in "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0\bin\".
I've used this program quite a bit and it pulls the CPSKey.cfg file from the exact location that it runs BackupBluRay.cmd from.

Hope things work out for you.

Did you acutally get it working on ps3 or still on the process? Did you have java installed in your ps3 YDL

I thought the BluRay is region-free but why am I hearing foreign language when encrypting BluRay on my PS3 and not English as a Primary language? So does anyone know how to offset in hex edit to change the foreign language to english?
Good work! how do you install java? I've tried the official java for linux but without luck. It seems to me there is no java for PPC linux in the offical site. I did sucessfully install java using different method but unable to run backupbluray under linux.

By the way, i only see a handful of bluray movie have the posted key, does it mean we are not able to grab the keys for the rest of the titles?

I know for a fact that once you use backup bluray to decrypt the bluray movie the movie's audio streams are all still seperated and selectable, at least that is how it was with Talladega Nights. From the drop-drop audio part there is audio 0, 1, 2 etc. and audio 0 was English on Talladega Nights.

If there is no English audio there, try it in Windows (VLC 0.8.6) and once again if it is not there then the audio format they used is not supported by VLC (If I were to guess)

(If I wanted I could have written the guide to be Talladega Nights on PS3 in French w/o the disk, there is really nothing special about the subject. Also we have known backupbluray ran 100% on YDL "OOB" (without installing anything) for weeks and weeks, I know I put it in a post here somewhere)

BackupBluRay does not work with SAK due to the size of Java (I believe the RAMDisk Limitation is 1MB (maybe the hypervisor's limitation) ) There maybe a way around this; Creating a "Live!" disk of DSL (not yet PPC64 ported?) and including such things as backupbluray and the S.A.K.

i have had pretty good success using emuxer to preview the different audio streams.. without reading the manual, it seems you load the stream, click on the audio stream you want to preview, click preview then play... to change.. you stop it, and do the same procedure and pretty quickly you can remux the stream with the correct audio

you'll also find the resultant stream is quite a few gb smaller as those HD streams (especially the lossless DD stream) run a few GB in size

the big bummer is you really need to keep the original stream archived until the media drops in price....

does anybody know, if you have an hdmi enabled receiver, does it play the .ac3 track without downrezzing them?

works for ALL bluray that you have the key to, right now there are many more HD keys posted than BR as it seems most guys are using bluray with ps3 and there is no method to retrieve your own key yet

the h.264 streams (like open season or the wild) decrypt, play okay on your pc, but the XMB doesn't play them back yet. they seem to require much more overhead to decode on the fly and are a bit choppy on the pc side...

one could theoretically convert the h.264 to mpeg2, however the resultant stream would be really big... canopus procoder2 has a preset for this..procoder2 is a bit kludgy though... elecard has one in the works (there's a demo of it on their site) that looks like the ticket, but dongle protected and cost a fortune

another avenue may be to just burn the stream to normal DVD-DL (on a couple of course) as an HD-DVD disk using sonic pro hd or movie factory 5 and play it on a $300 HD player (but get your true DD audio)
