Playing PS2/PS3 backups on a TEST PS3

oh my... it is a 60 gig version... i didn´t mention that until you told me xD

I have 2 Playstation 3 consoles now. The 60 and the 40 version. The 40 one is really crappy because it can not play any of my japanese ps2 ans psx games. Thanks to this debugging/test unit, i can play them now ^^

But, still i can´t play ps1 or ps2 backup games. I think i do something wrong

attached in the second post is the app to patch them as master... did you use it or are you just using normal backups you would on a modded ps2?

oh...i didn´t use that app. I´m using standart backups. My Ps2 died 2 years ago -.-. But i can´t download this one cause my user status is on (newbie). "only if i´m a registerd user"...but i am Oo. Is there a chance to download this app?

if i have read right ps3 games need to patch to play it from hdd, but is it possible to play ps3 backups from disc without patch?

Alas, No. They also need to be rebuilt and patched to work from disc.

DAMN! I have a test unit but looks like it can't play ps2 backups, I did use the ps2 patcher too. I don't have an original disc of any ps2 atm, but I'll find out later on tonight if it'll even play a legit disc. Also I might have made a bad burn but that don't matter I'll have it confirm tonight.
