Ever wonder if and when Blue Ray game .iso's would be ready in the future, if you could store them on your new PS3 HDD. Well it has been done (the huge HDD that is), and working 100%. Gonna cost you a few bucks for the drive from what I could find at Newegg ($379), but the drive cable is cheap
What you'll need are 2 items:
SATA HDD (One mentioned below that I found)

Data cable may come in blue or red
1) Open bay cover
2) Connect male end of extension cable to your ps3 internally.
3) Connect female end of extension cable to your hard drive
4) Boot ps3 and format drive from XMB.
