Video editor with Kmeaw PS3 CFW

i tryed to use ps3 video editor, but the console says that i have to upgrade it. I´m running kmeaw 3.55 cfw. If i do this, can my console be banned at psn? is there any way to upgrade it installing a newer package with a usb stick?

I decided to risk it and updated the video editor and my console has not been banned.
