Updating games on 3.55 cfw kmeaw

I am on kmeaw 3.55 cfw and I was just wondering, do all you people on this firmware as well update your games? If you do, how do you do it?

is it ok to update when the game says its found an update or will this break the game? Multiman has on option to update games also, is this an ok way of doing it? the updates don't seem to be the latest this way.

Will PS3 updater give the latest updates?

If you update when the game ask maibe you will need to edit or change the game's eboot.
