Rogero CEX PS3 Custom Firmware (CFW) v4.21 is Now Released!

Finally dared to switch from Rogero CFW 4.21 1.09 to 4.30 1.04 on my Phat CECHG04 256MB-NAND...

Since I dont own a flasher Im a bit paranoid but my curiosity always wins.

was it worth it. is it much different ? stability etc. ? does it have any issues ?

i'm curious cos looking to put something other than rebug on my other ps3, no point them both having same.

Worth it. no need for a PC to connect to psn.

1) No Bricks. i was careful: dehashed, qa,...)
2) My "lastgame" doesnt work (i got still the old one)
3) No xmb issues, I updated mm to 4.11.11
4) Blackops2 runs without patching
5) downloaded the 1.02 patch via xmb & runs fine, BUT on 1st try cannot connect to BO2 server...

Writing back after some more testing...

thanks for that, it was the xmb issues that i was still concerned about, on the original 4.30v1 others reported a slightly jerky xmb menu.
but for me it was very jerky and kept jamming. now that its fixed properly i shouldn't have no issues, and all the demo mode stuff has gone, so all is good.

I think it was the in-game-xmb?

Just tested in BO2 single-player, every thing is smooth...

well looks like i'll be putting rogero on other ps3 tonight, i'll just leave rebug on one just or the dex/cex switching.

the other dont do dex anyway cos i never changed it so dont have the required flash files.

you can always get the required flash files downgrade-pup-to-3.55->kmeaw (for dehashing)->rogeroV3.7a CFW-3.55->dump everything u need within gameOS or MM->c2d your cex-dump to dex-ones-> keep both files for changing as you already know

when i went from cex to dex linux was required and it was a pain in backside. i really cant be botgered with it all again. i know its not needed no more, but either way , i dont need both to have dex switching. might never need dex again. il just keep one on rebug just incase lol

well both files are downloading, i've got 15 mins to decide whether i can be bothered to downgrade back to 3.55 first. or just to unspoof rebug back to 4.21 and try update from xmb

i don't own a flasher so the first option would be advisable. just dont know, i'm too curious as to whether it would work.

Is it me or the release log seems a copy paste from ErmaC CFW?

I've tested it, the demo mode is still present on the TV category... And again Ermac still feels more polished and doesn't have demo mode at all, later tonight i'll revert back to that one.

did you install the fix pkg for it, just the fact that ErmaC dont need a fix pkg. is a big decision maker for a lot of people.

glad i ain't installed it yet, i don't want no demo modes on anything
