jrccomputer, if It's so easy, then do It yourself. It's something that most likely will never be done by softmod. 3.55+ OFWs have checks that can see the difference between CFW and OFW and seems like there is no way to get around that. Hacking PS3 is VERY complex, much more than 360 and Wii.
I have a phat 40gb i bricked early morning was never downgraded and it was on kmeaw 3.55.. Tried updating it to Rogero_CEX4.21_v1.09d. I didn't hash or used qa since in other forums i read it worked with out those steps if you never downgraded your console before.
Silly me i should had taken precaution..STEPS.. KMEAW 3.55>>>>RECOVERY MODE>>>UPDATE Rogero_CEX4.21_v1.09d. Bricked after the user agreement while installing. Green light/ black screen. Looking to get this fixed/serviced since i dont own none of the tools needed to unbrick. CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO ARE GOOD TO GO!!
Good thing I can't play my PS3 until next week. I bruised my left palm while playing basketball and can't use the thumb. I would have jumped on this new CFW and ended up with a brick. I can wait it out to get a more stable build... Thanks Rogero for all your efforts!
Great, i think i just brick my FAT PS3... i used the recovery menu to install the update and after the update install the PS3 stays ON. If i turn off the PS3 it turns on automatically and stays green but the screen stays black.
