I'd say there is no problem at all with 25xx series, It's just that the majority of the PS3 Slims are 25xx, thus why most of the bricks are from 25xx. I've already seen 20xx getting bricked and a friend bricked his 21xx. It's sad to see this CFW randomly bricking PS3s.

i think brick is a dehashing issue not done right from a downgraded ps3.. i will try this later with a downgraded cech21xx dehash and installed with kmeaw,.. thanks rogero and others involve, this is a big step in the scene.
Sadly, thats wrong dylan. My friends PS3 was never drowngraded or ever been converted to DEX. It came with with OFW 3.40, then I've upgraded it to 3.55 OFW -> 3.55 Kmeaw -> 3.55.2 Rebug. Went back to 3.55 OFW, installed Rogero's using Recovery Menu and brick. I know some guy who's been playing around with this, he bricked 3 and managed to install this FW in 1, all of them were slim 25xx boards. So uhmm... Those bricks really seem to be quite random.
Its not on all CECH-25xx... I installed just fine on a CECH-2501A
I installed in XMB.. I had qa flag installed, but not for dehashing purposes. Mine was never downgraded, just because I installed firmwares from internal hdd.
I don't know, its the same with DEX firmwares. There are always so many people who brick for whatever reasons I guess.
I have installed the Rogero 4.21 cex successfully. I just reinstalled 3.55 via recovery then went to recovery and installed the rogero
However some new games don't work i keep getting the game could not be started error 80010017. Some older games like king of fighters work but yakuza for example give me this error. Also sorcery says cannot install game cannot read from disc.
It can STILL only be installed on a 3.55 system? I guess I better sell my 4.25 OFW slim and buy a used 3.55 because it's going to be cheaper and easier than an E3 Flasher and card reader. Tons of PS3's on Craigslist cheaper than the price of buying the stuff needed to downgrade.
