When everyone did the upgrade to the 4.x cfw's, did it have to format your HDD's first? I'm still happy being on 3.55, but if for some reason i decide to go to 4.30 cfw, would just like to know before hand...
ok i have a question. I was on Rogero 4.3 v 3.0. I downgraded using the downgrader pup. then ran toggle Q&A and after a few tries managed to get it to update vis recovery menu to Rogero 3.55 v3,7. Now i am back to 3.55 but when i go to system settings it shows version 4.25.. ? what am i doing wrong or what should i do ? Thanks
Ok figured it out. it was showing 3.55 via recovery menu and 4.25 via ps3 system info

i installed this cfw everygame i tried so far works only thing is that majority of homebrew games do not work but all new games work fine just tested BLUS-31062-[Saints Row The Third The Full Package] which has a 4.25 fw and works nicely so their you have it folks, not a bad go and it was even on a phat unit pretty neat so confirmed working i went from 3.55 straight to Rogero_CEX4.30_V1.03_Full_Pack with no problems just the homebrew games
I'm new to this and I'm trying to install Rogero CEX 4.30 CFW v1.03 on an old 40GB PS3 with 3.40v sony firmware currently installed, but I am getting an error message saying "can install version 1.97 or later". What do I have to do to get the CEX 4.30 to work?
OK, I managed to install 4.30 CFW over 3.40 (OFW). I am now trying to play a copy of sleeping dogs that I downloaded, where do I have to place the game's folder (BLESxxxxx) in order for it to play from the xmb? I am also getting an error message "80028F14" when trying to select app_home, why is this?
