    There is one but its a task for PS3MFW.

    I got mine spoofed at 9.90 and its all good. I never have to worry about any updates.

    As Spunkybunny said by using or edit the spoof_version.tcl within the PS3MFW if your already using.
    Code:
    # Option --spoof: Select firmware version to spoof
    # Type --spoof: combobox { {3.15 38031 001:CEX-ww} {3.41 45039 001:CEX-ww} {3.55 47516 001:CEX-ww} {3.56 48246 001:CEX-ww} {3.60 48686 001:CEX-ww} }

    namespace eval ::spoof_version {

        array set ::spoof_version::options {
          --spoof "3.60 48686 001:CEX-ww"
        }
    change the bold to this 9.90 99090 001:CEX-ww

    Hope that helps..

    Re-install CFW from the recovery menu.

    Thanks HRU! After the restore i had a box pop up: The hard disk file system is corrupted and will be restored. Anyway, all is back but i guess i should reinstall 3.72 spoofer so i can uninstall it before i install 4.00 spoofer.

    It just prevents you from accidentally updating, it doesn't allow PSN access or make you play newer unfixed games.

    Also once you have backed up your games, navigate to the saved directory of game and remove the update directory as well or at least the update.pup, so the game cant sneaky upgrade, and you free up at least 250 megs, and 4 games is a gig gone already.

    This is just an added way of not getting caught by mistake from a update on a game, even if you have spoofed.
