how long did you leave it on black screen, i've got 2 games that the first time you run them they black screen for about 15mins and then start installing game data. for 15 mins it seems like they doing nothing then the HD light starts blinking , and 2 mins later the installing screen comes on. one is a patched catherine. the other is an unpatched game but cant remember which.
they only did this the first time they were ran, they all run fine now and have you tried using multiman to download the latest update and installing it, i find this gets most games working, although sometimes you have to delete gamedata first (not savegame)

I'm using Rogero 3.55 CEX CFW v3.6 on my FAT NAND. I want to install OFW 3.55 but i couldn't boot to Recovery Mode, I followed the procedure to boot to Recovery Mode but didn't successful. Very strange. Before i could many times if it was OFW. I ask many guys and some guy advise me
1: install 999 downgrader from XMB
2: then install toolbox2,
3: then toggle Qa
4: then install rebug 4.21.1 REX EDITIONS ?
Can I install 3.55.3 REX EDITIONS at step 4 or I have to install OFW 3.55?
I just installed Rebug 4.21.1 and so far no games have worked. 2 blackscreen and 1 keeps saying its got corrupt gamedata and its not even installed gamedata yet. Might go check out that Rogero 4.30v3 and hope thats got better luck.

Hey StanSmith, I solved the problem by using the Recovery Menu and Restoring my PS3 and now I can go Online and the Games are working. But, I lost my Savegames and Trophys. OK I have a Backup of my Savegames but the Trophys are gone.
Its hard but its works for me.

That can't work for me. I have XMB installed games. 26 of them. All will need to be 4.xx patched if I upgrade which it looks like I will be downgrading really soon. I'm gonna try out Rogero 4.30v3 and if that doesn't work then back to my 3.55CFW
I just found 1 game that works. Mass Effect 3. Its still got its 3.55 patches and its working. No games work from USB but this one works from internal.
The way I have it set up to back it up over FTP takes about 2 days and to restore it takes about 5 days. That's how long it took last time I upgraded the HDD and now its bigger. Its a 500GB so it'll probably take a week to get it all back.
I also have over 600 PSN items and DLC so I do NOT want to loose any of them as my account is banned and I have no other way of restoring them. THATS why I'm sticking with CFW, F! SONY!
