There are patches on both version of the game a while ago (1+ months, I think)... what are the differences between then and now? Did they fix extra stuff (I heard that a mini game or something hang with old patches)
Just a little report: Jak.and.Daxter.Collection.EBOOT.PATCH.100.USA.PS3-N0DRM release works fine also for EUR version of the game (just change BCUS98201 value to BCES01325 into the PARAM.SFO)
Ok so i copied the files over for these updates The.Elder.Scrolls.V.Skyrim.EBOOT.PATCH.106.USA.PS3-N0DRM and Sniper.Elite.V2.EBOOT.PATCH.101.EUR.PS3-N0DRM and now all i get when i try to start either game is unsupported data any ideals
Thanks for the explanation!! But do you really think Sony isn't onto this? In my fantasy $ony has a devision specially to be on the lookout for this kind of stuff (A)
Still... I really hope this can continue, there is still a lot of games that needs to be patched hahaha... God I sound like a leecher Wish I had a way to help PropJoe and the rest.
These single eboot/sfo files are a stupid way to release updates. They should be properly packaged, and signed as NPDRM eboots (updates). Now we've got everybody complaining nothing works etc etc. They are crypted as disc eboot, but are npdrm updates, so stupid release. Useless for 99% of us.
My suggestion: Wait for a proper release or repackage (and re-crypt as npdrm eboot before you do so.) them yourself for the moment.
Alternatives are to rebuild the database from recovery after you update the sfo file on your hdd. but this takes a long time so i don't recommend it.
(They probably work out-of-the-box on dongle firmwares. Many checks are patched in there including the versions check.)
