i had the same problem too... my solution is... and some help from here... i played with Internal HD... copy replace all the fixed file into the usrdir... all including the empty folder/eboot etc etc and UPLAYBROWSER.PPU.SELF... the one in the original folder uplaybrowswer.ppu.self (in small caps) i leave it in the folder didn't delete it... so i have two of them one in CAPS and the other one in small caps...and same goes with PARAM.SFO replace that too... with latest multiman... press X... not select+x and play without disc in it... and don't update.

last time i got black screen cause i didn't copy the whole file including the empty folder from fixed folder...
