If you have a lot of games that were modified to work on 3.41 FW you'll have to go off and look for all the original Eboot.bin files which is a real hassle. People don't feel the need to update to 3.55 CFW anyway.
firstly, i think this eboot is quite small and may be a pretty good start to look at it , however, the ORIGINAL EBOOT is JUST a mesh that can't be read by any readself etc.
i simply read the sdk_type (according to ps3devwiki.com/index.php?title=SELF_File_Format_and_Decryption#Me tadata_Information)
it shows 0x13 , which is FW 3.65 and the readself.exe (i don't know if the newer readself2.c can read these info more correctly, as i don't have a compiled readself2 in win32) show it is NP-DRM.
if this is the case , would DUPLEX can already fix this, as:
1) it is now 3.65,
2) NP-DRM is not a problem for DUPLEX group.
look forward to see great news, especially tomorrow is the first day of Chaos Communication Congress
