Following up on their previous update, this weekend German PlayStation 3 developer IcEmAn (aka IcEmAn2012) has made available PS3 XMB CFW Mod v2 and XMB CFW Mod v2 for CEX / DEX consoles with details below.

Download: PS3 XMB CFW Mod v2 PKG / PS3 XMB CFW Mod Kit v2 PKG / Update 2.3 IcE-rX Media Manager.pkg

To quote, roughly translated: CFW XMB MOD v2

1. Install any CFW (3.55) you like
2. Install XMB_CFW_MOD_v2.pkg
3. Activate dev_blind
4. Copy the content of: hdd0/game/XMBCFWMOD/USRDIR/dev_flash to "FLASH"

So this is basically a mod for 3.55 kmeau and other 3.55 CFW is it? Or Is there a modified firmware to go with it. How does the cex/dex update come into it? have you got one version for cex and another for dex or have you incorporated features of both into one version?

sorry if questions are stupid. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Could you please explain what this is doing. Am I right is assuming 3.55 is still the only version for installing homebrew etc?

All I want to do is play blurays, install homebrew and still play the odd latest legal games such as darksiders 2. I don't even care about piracy. Is this too much to hope for at this point in time?

hi, i got the ps3 cheats editor but i think i need to be running cfw3.55 not 4.25 if i go to in stall the Kmeaw cfw 3.55 it gets to 70% and then comes up with an error any idea why i'm on a eu console
