To quote: Do you remember the guy who open a thread on this section, talking about a homemade update pkg? After analisys, we all agree didn't work. But today i would love to discuss a method posted on an other language from a guy, x0re , translated:
1. Be sure to use the Skyrim version BLES01330 (Be sure to use a backup just for test , don't try with your working backup)
2. download patch 2.03 (EP1003-BLES01330_00-PATCH00000000203-A0203-V0100-PE)
3. Download TB Skyrim patch 1.02
4. Download a program for extract pkg content (x0re used ES35's PS3 ToolKit Official v2)
5. Download a SFO editor
6. A TB dongle 2.5 , with V2 is needed.
Let's begin:
1. Using SFO editor, change id from BLES01330 to BLUS30778, the same with game folder, from BLES01330 to BLUS30778
2. Install 1.02 TB patch pkg
3. Decompress 1.04 pkg and let's overwrite
SKYRIM - INTERFACE.BSA
SKYRIM - MISC.BSA
SKYRIM - SHADERS.BSA
UPDATE.BSA

Inside the folder //dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778/USRDIR/ (overwrite everything)
4 Try. Seems stable. Beware, this trick seems working just with EUR version manipulated as follow. USA version doesn't work.

PART 1: PS3 to PC
:warning: Advanced Warning: You NEED CFW for this part to work
Requirements- PS3 with TB FW, backup manager and a file manager
- True Blue dongle and Skyrim TB EBOOT
- SKYRIM BLUS30778 or BLES01329
- (Optional) PC version of Skyrim
- Memory stick (FAT32 Formatted)
- Your skyrim save file
- SKYRIM Save Utility Tool (http://www.mediafire.com/?mbhy9acuotty2)
PS3 to PC to PS3 tutorial:

Procedure:- Copy your PS3 Skyrim game to the internal HDD and install the TB EBOOT patch. (Note:you could play off the External HDD)
- Load Skyrim using any backup manager to make sure its installed on the PS3 correctly. (Note:allow it to install data files and trophies,)
- Once at the menu screen, all you will need to do is select load, choose your desired save file and then wait for the progress bar to hit 100% - load completed message. DO NOT PRESS 'O' button.
- Hold the (PS) button and select "QUIT GAME".
- Once back at the XMB start the file manager.
- This time navigate to “dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778CACHE/PS3_GAME/USRDIR” OR “dev_hdd0/game/BLES01329CACHE/PS3_GAME/USRDIR”
- You wil notice a file named “Util.bsd”, copy the file to the memory stick and then transfer the file to a computer/laptop
- Load the SKYRIM Utility tool and select "rename util.bsd -> *.ess "(this will give you the corect name for your file)
- Search for your file util.bsd. The file will output with the "correct name.ess" to the SKYRIM shortcut folder on your desktop(there is a dummy util.bsd file in the directory for you to try)
- (Optional):Install your copy of the pc version of skyrim to your computer/laptop.
- (Optional): copy your "*.ess" to “%My Documents%\My Games\Skyrim\Saves”
- (Optional): load your PC copy of SKyrim and try to load “*.ess” (don’t do it!!! Its not worth it !!!...hang on... yes it is), ignore the warnings and just save.
- (Optional): use the console in game (key ~) and fix your game. don’t forget to save.

-"This saved data is owned by another user. Trophies cannot be unlocked and saving will not be allowed."-

The Process:
PART 1: PS3 to PC convert
See above for details.
PART 2: PC to PS3 convert- Load the SKYRIM Utility Tool and select "Version change *.ess"
- Find your "*.ess" file.
- The tool will change the Version of your save file from any version to 7(7 is where all the magic happens) and will also rename the selected file to "quicksave.ess"
- The tool will output the file to the SKYRIM shortcut folder on your desktop
- Copy both the new edited “quicksave.ess” and “SKYRIM - Interface.bsa” from the SKYRIM shortcut folder on your desktop to the memory stick.
- Load up your ps3 file manager
- Navigate to SKYRIM installed on the PS3 HDD eg “dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLUS30778 - [SKYRIM US]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA” or “dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01329- [SKYRIM US]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA”
- Overwrite the “SKYRIM – Interface.bsa” file
- Navigate to “dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778CACHE/PS3_GAME/USRDIR” or “dev_hdd0/game/ BLES01329CACHE/PS3_GAME/USRDIR”
- Copy over the “quicksave.ess” here
- Load up your SKYRIM game and load up any SKYRIM save file. (as long as it was created on the PS3 you are using, otherwise the PS3 will think you are using another consoles savefile, and hence will disable trophies and saving)
- Once loaded, count to 10, then press [SQUARE] and [SELECT] together on the ps3 controller and OMG WHAT DID YOU JUST DO???? That’s right you “QUICKLOADED” your pc save to the PS3.
- Now all that remains is to save the file, (DON’T try to press [SQUARE] and [SELECT] together, its annoying lol), and your done.
- The only step to do now, is to restore the “SKYRIM – Interface.bsa” to default, just use the tool and repeat the previous steps. .

Q: Why does this work???
A: All we are doing is using the functions that bethesda put in the pc version of skyrim....the beloved "Quickload" function and using it on the ps3 to do our bidding.
Q: Do i really need the pc copy of skyrim to make this work
A: no
Q: Why not?
A: Using the pc copy of skyrim is what allowed me to discover this method of pulling from the cache. Its really not that necessary.
Q: My skyrim game will not load properly or not at all
A: make sure the TB eboot is installed and that permissions are set.
Q: I press L1 and a message about versions pops up, what should i do?
A: Are you sure you changed the save file version number to be compatible with the PS3? Just use the tool and you will be ok.
PART 3: PS3 REGION convert
To be honest, just follow PART 1 and PART 2, but the key difference is…..just quickload to the region you require.
PART 4: PS3 OFW convert
Requirements- Memory stick (FAT32 Formatted)
- Your skyrim save file

Procedure:- Download the Update of Skyrim via link above.
- Copy the PKG to your memory stick
- Install the package on your CFW PS3
- Go play some TB updated SKYRIM
PART 6: Install PC Mods on PS3
Requirements- Memory stick (FAT32 Formatted)
- PC Mods that you want via skyrim.nexusmods.com
- EU or US SKYRIM.INI template
DragonBone Weapons found via skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1935
Procedure:- Download the SKYRIM.INI template for the region you desire
- Download the PC Mods that you want to port to PS3
- Extract the Files from the zip file (if needed)
- Rename all the Files using Capital letters. Eg “DragonBoneWeaponsComplete.esp” to “DRAGONBONEWEAPONSCOMPLETE.ESP”
- Open the SKYRIM.ini template in a text editor.
- Starting from “sTestFile2=” insert the name of the .ESP file (all in capitals) eg “DRAGONBONEWEAPONSCOMPLETE.ESP”
- If you have a second mod, insert it at “sTestFile3=”
- DO NOT insert anything at “sTestFile1=” as this is reserved for the “SKYRIM.ESM”. in other words the SKYRIM game itself
- If you have any .BSA files as one of your mod files, insert it at the end of : “sResourceArchiveList=” with a !!!comma then a space!!
- eg. sResourceArchiveList=SKYRIM - MISC.BSA, SKYRIM - SHADERS.BSA, SKYRIM - TEXTURES.BSA, SKYRIM - INTERFACE.BSA, SKYRIM - ANIMATIONS.BSA, SKYRIM - MESHES.BSA, SKYRIM - SOUNDS.BSA, DRAGONBONEWEAPONSCOMPLETE.BSA
- Save the file and Exit.
- Copy the SKYRIM.INI file and your PC mods to the Memory stick
- Load up your PS3 and enter your File manager
- Navigate to SKYRIM installed on the PS3 HDD eg “dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLUS30778 - [SKYRIM US]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA” or “dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01329- [SKYRIM US]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA”
- Copy all the PC mods here
- Now up one directory to the USRDIR folder and overwrite the SKYRIM.INI file
- Exit the File manager and go play some SKYRIM. That’s it…..that simple
Notes:- In order for this to work, ALL MODS MUST BE IN CAPITALS LETTERS
- I have chosen not to Cache any of the Game DATA as this chews up space on the PS3 HDD and it honestly makes ZERO!!! Difference... unless you play off a disc lol (which TB does not lol)
- Only 9 mods at any time are supported “sTestFile2” to “sTestFile10” = 9 mod files
- I do not support the mods themselves but I do support the process, in other words if there is something wrong with the mod please see the developer of that MOD, if the mod does not load you may see me first.
- I have only created English EU and US templates, but can make french and spanish ones if requested
