Please clarify this for me, I just got a PS3 yesterday so I don't know much things about it. I have a PS3 Slim 120GB serial CECH-3001A. Originally it came with 3.72 and I accidentally upgraded it to 4.31 which is the current one. I already know that my console cannot be downgraded to 3.55 to use CFW.
But does this thread means that I can install this CFW over my 4.31 and my backed up games will work with it? If yes, will it work on discs only or can I use packages and homebrew?
as far as i know, if you want to use custom firmware, you can't if your ps3 has been upgraded above 3.55 ofw or started that above 3.55, as of now anyway
Has anyone tried ErmaC 1.4 CFW already? I have ErmaC 1.3 CFW now I want to upgrade to 1.4.
For those you has already upgraded from ermac 1.3 to 1.4, do I need to do the following steps?
1) run Rebug 999 downgrader from xmb
2) go to Setting --> Debug Settings --> System Update Debug --> SET ON
3) Toggle QA Flag Enable.
4) install Rebug 3.55.3 CFW from recovery
5) go to Setting --> Debug Settings --> System Update Debug --> SET OFF
6) Check QA Flag Enable and install KMEAW from recovery.
7) dehash, check QA Flag Enable
8) install ErmaC 4.30 CFW 1.4
hmmm, yea not possible as i know of now, but i would say sooner or later the dev's will come up with something for you, if you don't want to wait it out you could bring it back to he store you bought it from, and look around for a used one and check the fw on it before you buy, or sell yours and buy one that way, or go to gamestop and they always have bargain disks for around 10-15$
join gamefly and they will send you a disk at a time for free for a month, then 15 dollars a month to keep your subscription, blockbuster will do the same and only 9.99 month after the first, gamefly is easier to get newer games, not sure why you would pay all that money for a ps3 if you cant afford some games tho lol
downgrade with rebug 3.55 999 pup... than install 3.55 kmeaw... set debug system update to on... install ermac 4.30 v1.4 on xmb system update... that what i do for change my ermac v1.3 to v1.4... all i install on xmb menu
no... just install it kmeaw pup direct xmb menu... after in kmeaw i do qa flaq enable and direct install.ermec 4.30 v1.4... bcoz in 999downgrade it was already enable...
Just wanted to clarify on the whole usb port thing you may want to clarify which system version you have, Cause I have original launch 60 gig, replaced with 1,000 gig hard drive and I use each usb port just fine. With Ermac and an original slim ps3 on Rogero, and also each usb port works.
yes mine was ok when I use--> jb341, kneaw355, rogero355 but after rogero430 only usb000 works fine...
when I check over ftp I see 2 usb but no numbers... just usb0 and usb0
