Yeah it is pretty bad that you can't just jump into Recovery Mode, Stick this PUP on a Memory Stick and flash it that way instead of having to rip your PS3 Apart to solder a Flasher to the NOR... Never mind. I'm still holding out hope for a 3.7x CFW but I doubt it will happen.
You can only play backups after you turn them into a .PKG file from what I've heard which is quite silly, so just stay on the CFW you are on now (if you are on CFW).
IrisManager for PS3 JFW DH 3.56 Custom Firmware is Released
Last week JFW DH MA-1 3.56 PS3 CFW was released, and today Spanish PlayStation 3 developer DemonHades has made available IrisManager for PS3 JFW DH 3.56 Custom Firmware.

When it comes to the screen loaded crashes payload, but that is unimportant, only would fail to adapt the payload manager (that D_Skywalk) could do it without many problems here and upload the source generated PKG Source download and testing PKG.

Note: For those not on 3.56 already it is advised not to update to 3.56 CFW yet, as you will not be able to downgrade and IrisManager is barely working on it at the moment.
JFW 3.56 this CFW is for those users where they can not properly downgrade ps3 3:55> 3.41 (modified 3:56 pup) and are stuck on 3:56 (not possible to update-error corrupted data) if you are stuck 3.56 using jealbreak dongle and once downgrade ps3 to 3.40 and then update the 3:55 then install cfw 3.55 kmeaw.
